The Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) is hosting its 40th Annual Congress in Montreal, Canada from October 7-11, 2020. In 1997, the Society hosted its largest-ever congress in Montreal, and we are delighted to be able to once again host this prestigious event at the site of one of its most historic editions, more than 20 years later.
The scientific programme committee is excited to offer another state-of-the-art scientific programme that addresses the learning gaps identified by SIU Members and Congress attendees. Following extensive review of SIU Needs Assessment materials and consultation with a diverse committee of experts representing a variety of subspecialties and geographic and practice settings, we are confident that the SIU 2020 scientific programme will allow you to obtain the knowledge required to implement skills and knowledge into your practice that will assist in the advancement of urology and improve patient care worldwide. Don't forget to submit your abstract by the April 1, 2020 deadline - submission is now open via SIU’s website: www.siu-urology.org
The island of Montreal, originally named Ville-Marie or “City of Mary”, is named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill in the heart of the city. It is the largest city in the French speaking province of Quebec and has the largest native French speaking population in the world outside of Paris, France. Founded in 1642, Montreal has many historic attractions, museums, art galleries and theatres, amidst vibrant cafes and the highest number of restaurants per Capita in Canada. So join us in Montreal where we produce 85% of the world’s maple syrup and are home to the first ever recorded ice hockey game in 1875. We are confident that SIU 2020 attendees will leave their Congress experience with a second home in their heart!
